PUNA THROWS

The Puna Collection has travelled from the salt flats and elevated plains of northern Argentina. The indigenous communities who inhabit the harsh Puna landscape live at high altitudes, isolated from the post-colonial way of life but deeply connected to Andean culture and Pachamama, ‘Mother Earth’. Throws in the Puna Collection are made from 100% pure llama’s wool (no dyes involved), which lends them beautiful natural variations in colour and texture. Super soft and warm, the weaving techniques used to make these throws have been passed down from generation to generation.

Handwoven by skilled artisans, these Puna throws have been sourced directly for a fair price from the indigenous communities where they were made. When you purchase a Puna throw, you’re helping Pampa trace the map that connects Argentina’s talented artisans with the global community.

Please note: Puna throws are woven from 100% natural llama’s wool with no dyes added. While we do our best to represent the colour accurately, there is no ‘true’ colour of wool, so  please expect slight variations in the colour you choose.

Style tip: Made in communities where the winter is cold, Puna throws can be used as a blanket scarf / wrap or as a throw to decorate the end of the bed or a sofa.
